Summary

Part Four opens with Darren's attempts to gain access to room 207 where Monica Maldonado had stayed. In the room he found a mother-of-pearl inlaid comb crunched in two parts under the bed, shiny black hair in the teeth of the comb. Darren went to see Sheriff Quinn and explained his belief that Monica was missing, but Quinn redirected the conversation and notified Darren that Leroy Page had been shot the previous evening. Quinn and Darren exchange a tense back and forth before Darren drove to go see Leroy in the hospital. Leroy's daughter Erika was sitting at her father's bedside and Margaret Goodfellow was in the back corner of the hospital room praying.
