This book contains a collection of writings by poets
and teachers who attended a 1998 conference held in
honor of Kenyon in Louisville, Kentucky. The essays
include such topics as "Our Lady of Sorrows: Some
Thoughts on Jane Kenyon," "Affective Disorders:
The Treatment of Emotion in Jane Kenyon's Poetry,"
and "The Interior Garden in Jane Kenyon's Poetry."
The title of this book is derived from the last line of
"Having it Out with Melancholy."
