Part 3: Chapters 27-39 Summary

Valerie and Jessica are told to move out of the hallway due to the movements of some builders. Jessica takes Valerie into the Commons and to the table where her friends are sitting. However, Valerie is clearly unwanted by Jessica's friends, causing her to get up and leave.

Valerie's father tells her that he has come clean to her mother about his affair and is moving out. When Valerie asks her father if he can ever forgive her, he tells her no because she wrote the hate list and put his name on it.
