Chapter 31 "O.W.L.S" Summary

The next day, Ron enjoys telling and retelling the tale of his Quidditch performance until Harry and Hermione finally fill him in on their collective promise to Hagrid. There is little time to be worried about Hagrid's giant half-brother, however, as Ordinary Wizarding Level exams are to begin shortly. Hogwarts erupts into a frenzy of studying and a slightly flustered Umbridge greets the O.W.L. examiners as they arrive at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron and Hermione all seem to be doing reasonably well on their exams. Harry actually receives a bonus point on his Defense Against the Dark Arts exam after producing a Patronus at the request of his examiner. Both Harry and Ron do poorly on their Divination exam but are not concerned by it.
