Outside, a fierce rainstorm engulfs Hogwarts. Harry and Ron learn that the Gryffindor Quidditch team has been given permission to reform. Hermione begins to question whether it is a good idea to practice Defense in the wake of the decree, mostly because Sirius is all for it and has seemed particularly restless as of late. She wonders if Sirius is living vicariously through the children while he is locked up with the Order. Harry, Ron and the others struggle through a stormy Quidditch practice until it is cancelled because of the weather. In the locker room, Harry is nearly overcome by a sharp pain in his scar. Once everyone but Ron has left, Harry realizes that his painful episodes are giving him insight into Voldemort's moods. Harry thinks back to earlier.....
