Chapter 10 "Luna Lovegood" Summary

The children are hurriedly preparing to leave for the train that will carry them to Hogwarts. One of the guards assigned to escort Harry to the station, Sturgis, has failed to report for duty, but they decide to go anyway. Sirius assumes the form of a large, black dog and accompanies the children to the station against the wishes of Mrs. Weasley. It is the first time Sirius has been out of the house for months and he seems to enjoy every second of it. The children reach the station and board the train without incident. Harry is dismayed to learn that Ron and Hermione have to go to the prefects' car for instructions, leaving him with only Ginny. They soon join classmate Neville Longbottom and seat themselves in a car.....
