Chapter 7 "The Ministry of Magic" Summary
Harry wakes early the day of his hearing and leaves his room quietly so as not to disturb Ron. He finds several wizards in the kitchen chatting over breakfast. After eating a bit of toast, Harry follows Mr. Weasley via train and on foot to the Ministry of Magic, not wanting to travel by magic since he is being disciplined for using it in the first place. They finally arrive at the visitor's entrance to the Ministry, a broken Muggle phone booth in a small alley. Mr. Weasley dials in the code and they descend below the streets into the Ministry, a grand and ornate building housing many different magical agencies.
Mr. Weasley takes Harry to his cramped office and introduces Harry to his office mate, Perkins, who informs them that Harry's hearing has been moved to a disused section of the Ministry and moved to an earlier time. When...
