Chapter 4 "Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place" Summary

Number twelve happens to be the hidden headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, housed in a ramshackle house accessible only by magic. Harry is ushered in by his guards and greeted by Mrs. Weasley, who instructs him to be very quiet as he goes upstairs to join Ron and Hermione. The Order is having a secret meeting in the kitchen and the children are forbidden from attending. Professor Snape is a member of the Order, but the kids do not know his role. Ron and Hermione greet Harry enthusiastically and tell him that Dumbledore swore them to secrecy despite their desire to keep Harry informed.
