Chapter Twenty-five, Shell Cottage - Chapter Twenty-six, Gringotts Summary

Griphook decides to help Harry break into Gringotts in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. He feels that the Sword should belong to a gobin because it is goblin made. They need this Sword to destroy the Horocruxes, but it is the only thing that Griphook will take for doing it, and they know that it will be a hopeless task without his help. Harry tells him that he can have the Sword if he helps him. He does plan to keep his promise, but not until he has destroyed all Horocruxes with it. This could take years, but he does not tell this to Griphook.

Lupin comes in one night and announces that he is a father, and Harry is the godfather.
