Chapter 23

Cat and Bones drove to the same place where Cat tried to kill Hennessey and where they found Francesca. It was where Hennessey insisted on meeting. The plan was to allow them to take Bones inside the building where Justina was. When Hennessey double-crossed them, Cat was to come in with weapons blazing. There was no Plan B. As soon as they arrived, they were surrounded by six vampires. One of them was Vincent, also known as Switch. Cat had to hold back her rage as Switch taunted her about killing her grandparents. Cat demanded to know where her mother was. They were told to follow them and when they arrived at the target location she was instructed to leave as soon as her mother got in the car.
