Summary

Chapter 9

Bones figured that Hennessey must have gotten word that Sergio had gone missing. Bones didn’t want Cat to be involved in any encounter with Hennessey. It was too dangerous. But Cat was insistent, and he reluctantly agreed to let her help him. The plan was for Cat to sit at the bar alone and lure him over to her. It worked; soon Hennessey was heading her way. Hennessey sat down by Cat and came on to her, but soon Bones appeared behind him. The two men traded barbs. Bones ordered Hennessey out of the seat next to Cat, but Hennessey wouldn’t budge. It was obvious that the two vampires hated each other. The bartender sensed that things were getting heated and reminded them that there was no fighting in the bar.
