Summary

In Chapter 29, Harry and Gwendy take the opportunity for some privacy at Gwendy’s house while her parents are at a dinner party. Since Gwendy’s dad insists on locking the house when he leaves, Gwendy is surprised the door is unlocked and is too distracted by Harry to notice pry marks around the door or the splinters sticking out from the lock area.

When Gwendy opens her closet to choose a dress to wear to a party, she smells Frankie before she sees him. He pulls her to the floor and she calls out for Harry. Harry lunges for Frankie and the two fight. Gwendy notices among the fallen clothes in the closet that the button box is out with silver dollars spread around it.
