Part 2, Chapter 2 Summary

The daughter of the farmer is nine years old and she sees him as a doll. The daughter is the one who also teaches him the language and is the one who takes care of him while he is with the family and he likes her. There soon is a rumor that the farmer has found him and one of the farmer's friends comes over to see for himself. Gulliver talks to him in what of the language he knows. Gulliver accidentally insults this man. The men then suggest that the farmer show him off in town. The little girl lets him know that he is to be taken from her the next day. Gulliver is not upset with this because he was hoping that he might someday get his freedom.
