Page 202-250 Summary

The two members of the Elucidated Brethren not killed are the Supreme Grand Master and Brother Fingers, who is detained by the Night Watch but later escapes. They learn that he used to work for the University, which explains who stole the book. The librarian finds his way back home to one week ago and finds the book before it was taken. There are rules that keep him from changing history but he is able to read and find out some things about the dragon. He places the book back and follows his trail back to his own time. Vimes and Carrot make their way to the Patrician to tell him that the dragon is back. Vimes is forced to tell his tale to Wonse, who dismisses him and tells him he has been working to hard.
