Summary

Chapter 5 is titled “A Buncha Stuff that Happened Next.” Dog Man, still disguised as the cat, goes to the police station. There is a “Help wanted” sign on the door with a note that dogs are not allowed. The cops have cried so much that they are standing in water up to their necks, and they are still crying. The Chief sends a cop named Buster to open the door. The water almost washes Dog Man off the steps. The Chief is holding a picture of Dog Man. Dog Man grabs the photo with his teeth and begins to pull. The Chief refuses to let go and they rip the paper in half. When Dog Man falls back, his hat comes off. He puts it back on but the Chief...
