Summary

The narrator resumes the plot with Coyote, I, G O D and First Woman. G O D yells “bad business” repeatedly at First Woman and insists that the garden is his (72). While Old Coyote, Ahdamn, and First Woman enjoy the tree’s food in the garden, G O D stands angrily watching them. Annoyed, First Woman, Ahdamn, and the animals leave.

First Woman and Ahdamn find a canyon out West with rangers at the bottom. Some living rangers ride up and accuse First Woman and Ahdamn of killing the rangers, but First Woman tricks the rangers into thinking she is the Lone Ranger and they let First Woman and Ahdamn go. Soon after, some soldiers ride up and arrest them for being Indian.
