Pip is strolling along Cheapside when he taken a hold of by Jaggers who invites him to dinner. Wemmick will be coming along. They stop at Little Britain, Jaggers' office and then all go back by coach to Gerrard Street. Wemmick has a note from Miss Havisham that he has not posted.
