Chapter 25 Summary
The day after Christmas, Ben rides in Sammy Wertzberger's car on the way to a hot date with two new college girls, arranged by Sammy's mother. Sammy explains to Ben that college girls have huge sexual appetites, and he shares his Bohemian Mountain Approach to women. Sammy's approach is to lull the girl into a false sense of security, and then attack her sexually without warning. Sammy stops the car to pick up some Budweiser and insists Ben drink one despite his protests. Sammy checks his story with Ben to make sure Ben will back him up. He has told the girls he's a hotshot guard on Ben's basketball team. He has also told them his name is Rock Troy, which he thinks sounds cooler than his Jewish name. Sammy talks about how much people hate Jews, and he mentions that Red Pettus truly believes that Jews use the blood...
