When Nick enters his sister's woodshed, it is filled with all of the purchases that were on the credit card statements the two detectives showed to Nick. The woodshed is also one of the places that Nick had sex with Andie many times. He realizes that the locations where Amy has been leaving the clues are all the places he has cheated on her with Andie. This is when Nick realizes Amy knows about his infidelity and that she is actually framing him for her disappearance, and eventually her murder.
