Amy thinks that Nick might be unstable. She says she catches him looking at her with such disgust, as if he's caught her doing something wrong instead of eating a bowl of cereal. She says she caught him fretting over a pile of credit bills recently. She also says that when she offered to get a job, Nick pushed her and she hit her head on the island in the kitchen. Amy admits that the look on Nick's face while she was on the floor—like he wanted to push her again—is what caused her to drive to mall to try to buy a gun.
