Summary

In Chapter 16, a man calls Clyde on the phone. The man says that he has kidnapped Paul and that he works for a powerful crime boss. The man goes on to say that he will give Paul back in exchange for $250,000 dollars. Clyde says that he has no money, but the man does not believe him. The man briefly mentions Romesh, and Clyde realizes that Romesh must have told the men about the money that Vishnu left for Peter’s education. After the call, Clyde informs Joy of what has happened, including the fact that Romesh, in order to take some of the money for himself, apparently helped set up the ransom scheme.
