Souvenir Summary

A young girl is walking down the street when a man notices her and thinks she looks like his dead wife. He approaches the girl and tells her this. The girl has heard this many times before and she is kind. However, when the man follows her into the drug store she wishes he would leave. The girl wants to buy condoms for use with her boyfriend, a young man who came home from war damaged and is no longer eligible for a marriage license.
