Part 4, Chapters 27 - 16, pgs. 388 - 445 Summary

Victor showers and looks through the vanity drawers. He finds the hat that Lauren gave him in New York. Parts of it are missing. He thinks of the Queen Elizabeth 2 voyage and how the ship stopped to pick up a sick sailor.

In chapter twenty-six, Victor is walking on the street when a car picks him up and takes him to a meeting with Palakon. Palakon says there is no record of Victor ever being at the Four Seasons. His people who followed him in London, who Victor has dubbed the Christian Bale guys, lost Victor in London and didn't find him again until the other night. Victor says he doesn't care about the money; he just wants to go home. Palakon says it is a moot point and he has to get Jamie back to the United States...
