Victor arrives at the Bowery Bar and talks to some journalist friends about the photo of himself and Allison. Victor says hello to friends as he walks to the booth where Chloe is sitting with a group of people. They talk about different people as Victor rolls a joint. As they talk, people come by their table to say hello and to ask for invitations to the club opening.

In chapter twenty-eight, they are at Chloe's loft. She shows him the dress she is planning to wear to the club opening the next evening. He doesn't approve, but she says she is wearing it anyway.
