Severin Lab is the place where the majority of the action of the novel takes place. It is where Kit works and where Diane eventually joins the staff as a researcher. It is in this lab building that Alex is killed.

Wheels Inn

Wheels Inn in the name of the hotel where Kit and Diane were staying during an out of town cross country camp session. That night, Kit told Diane and the others how a man named Stevie Shoes had molested her sexually. Kit had cooperated but knew it was inappropriate behavior for a grown man.
