Ninth Grade Summary

Allison says that at the beginning of ninth grade things inside of Brendan and Gary grew even worse. Allison noticed how dark Brendan really was after returning from a two-week trip with her parents away from Gary and Brendan. Gary would always tell Allison that the kids making fun of him at school didn't affect him. Gary would say he was a loser and that it didn't matter that the kids were making fun of him. Allison would defend Gary to himself and tell him that he was not a loser.
