Cameron Whitley

Cameron is one of the main characters in the narrative. He is the son of Cynthia and Lee. He is an intense boy whose behavior could be caused by the fact that his father is a criminal and also abandoned Cameron and his mother. Before then, his father was having an affair with the woman he later assaults. It could be possible that Cameron sensed a rift in the relationship between his father and mother and this could have also contributed to his strange behavior.

At the beginning of the narrative, he sees himself as someone who has to stay in the shadows and accept whatever life is kind enough to give him. Thus, he stands in the shadows at night and watches people. Even though he does not necessarily like Ronnie, he associates with him because Ronnie is the only person who will associate with him...
