Ann Abror

The majority of the book is set in Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan town. As the child of two professors, Lizzie grew up living in a campus environment, with sorority houses and university buildings nearby. She goes to college at the same university, so spends the next portion of her life in this town as well, where she meets and later settles down with George.
