Katherine is obsessed with dinosaurs, and she believes boys are like dinosaurs since she does not know nearly enough about either of them. Katherine is in love with Jamie Terravozza, a junior on the baseball team who is also in her biology class, because he did not laugh when one of his friends made fun of her.
