Summary

The sun begins to set as Laura and Jeremy make their way to Chase Feverbridge's lab at the beginning of Chapter Thirty-Six. The lab is dark when the pair enter and Laura has to call several times before her father answers. He tells her to go away but she informs him that Jeremy knows everything. Hearing this, Feverbridge opens the door and asks what Jeremy knows. Laura tells him that Jeremy knows about the Blakeney's and that he has figured it all out, besides the part about Feverbridge killing the old backpacker. Feverbridge insists that Jeremy cannot help and that they both must leave. However, Jeremy sits down and begins to ask Feverbridge about how he feels when the changes come over him.
