Chapters 19-23 Summary

In Chapter 19, Rose and her friends are taken to a house in a suburban neighborhood where they are locked in a room in a basement. Two Strigoi come into the room, Elena and Isaiah. Elena challenges Isaiah to kill them all right away, but Isaiah wants to have some fun. Isaiah tells Christian and Mia that one of them can live and the other will die. Isaiah says the one that takes the life of one of the novice guardians first can live, while the other will provide he and Elena with a wonderful meal, as Strigoi grow stronger with Moroi blood. Then Isaiah fees off of Eddie.

In Chapter 20, after some time struggling and trying to figure out an escape plane, Rose falls asleep and dreams of Adrian. Adrian keeps asking Rose where she is, but she cannot tell him...
