Chapter 124 Summary
The next two pages in the book are short articles from the Birmingham News. The first article has a headline that reads, "Elderly Woman Reported Missing." Mrs. Vesta Adcock is missing from the Rose Terrace Nursing Home. She was last seen in a rove with fox furs. A bus driver did remember seeing her. Her son, Earl Adcock, thinks she is disoriented. Anyone with information is asked to call the nursing home.
The next article reads, "Elderly Woman Found in Love Nest." Vesta Adcock has been found in a motel with Mr. Dunaway. He has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. She asked to be taken back to the nursing home and states that he is not the man she thought he was.
Chapter 124 Analysis
