"Religious Sewing Machines a Fraud" is the headline of the December 30, 1939 edition of The Weems Weekly. A man was in town selling sewing machines. He told his customers the machines were religious and could heal you as you sew. The machines were supposed to be from France, but were actually made in Chattanooga.
