Tormey House in Stonewall

The setting of "Friday" takes place in many different areas including Chicago, Stonewall, Los Angeles, Botany Bay, and Auckland. The house in Stonewall may be the most important since it is the home of Ian and Janet Tormey and Georges Perreault. It is one of the few places where Friday/Marjorie is the safest and feels the most loved until she finally relocates permanently to Botany Bay.

Marjorie is taken to the house by Ian and Janet after leaving Auckland and landing in Winnipeg. Marjorie is enthralled by the house and its beauty. Janet admits to being the compound's architect. Ian is the resident gadget master and Georges is an artist in many ways. The compound is secure with great stone walls and heavy security measures.
