The Store aka Fiesta Hoy Market

The Store is a market owned by Frank’s family. It is located in a poor neighborhood that is inhabited mostly by Chinese and Mexican people. Frank’s mother sends him to work the cash register in the store on Sundays. Frank believes that she does this so that Frank and his father will bond. One night a white man comes into the store and shoots Frank’s father. He survives the shooting but while he is being treated for the bullet wound, his doctors discover that he has cancer.
