In "The Facts in the Case of the Departure of Miss Finch" the narrator is a fantasy writer who has come to England to finish his book. He is called up by his friend Jonathon, who wants him to come out for dinner with his wife Jane and a woman called Miss Finch, whom they have been burdened with entertaining for awhile.
