Chapter 12 Summary

The next day, while Morelli goes off to work on a mystery case, Stephanie goes again to Kuntz's duplex to see if he has shown up. Kuntz is not there, so Stephanie speaks to Betty. Betty is not nearly as friendly as she had been in the past and encourages Stephanie to move on, that Kuntz was a bum who would turn up eventually. Stephanie checks out both Mrs. Nowicki and Margie's houses, but both are clearly empty as well. It occurs to Stephanie then that both women will have to visit a doctor to take care of their wounds. Stephanie makes some calls and learns that both women have doctor's appointments in a few days.
