Chapter 8 Summary

Stephanie goes into Morelli's house intent on not letting her emotions get the better of her in front of him. However, in the process of telling him what has happened, Stephanie cannot help but dissolve into tears. Morelli consoles her as best as he can and sets her up in his spare bedroom. Stephanie spends the next morning shopping for a new wardrobe. Later Stephanie and Lula go to Point Pleasant to look for Maxine. It seems like another wasted day until Stephanie spots Margie in a booth on the boardwalk. Stephanie follows her to a local house. Stephanie and Lula knock on the door and barge into the house, looking for Maxine. Stephanie and Lula have to fight Mrs. Nowicki and Margie, but they manage to find Maxine. Before Stephanie can arrest.....
