Chapter 7 Summary

Stephanie goes to her parents' house for dinner and finds herself forced to allow Grandma Mazur to join her, Lula, and Sally in Atlantic City that night. When they go to pick up Sally at his apartment, they find Sugar on a baking spree, filling their small apartment with numerous pies and cakes. Stephanie thinks little of this, in a hurry to get to Atlantic City. Once at the casino where they think they might find Maxine, Stephanie and her partners separate. The night seems to be a bust, except that Grandma Mazur meets a man, until Stephanie catches sight of Maxine across the room. Stephanie rushes after her and follows her into the parking lot where Maxine escapes into a waiting car. Stephanie watches her go and suddenly gets the impression that.....
