Chapter 5 Summary

Sally and Lula get Stephanie dressed up in one of Sally's sexy outfits and a wig, even convince her to buy new shoes to go with the outfit. Then the three of them go to the park and set up surveillance of the bench that Kuntz claims is the one Maxine considers theirs. Nothing happens at the bench where Kuntz sits, but a jogger a few benches down gets a pie thrown in his face. When Stephanie confronts the perpetrators, they tell her some woman paid them to do it. Stephanie finds a note in the pie mess and realizes that Kuntz had the wrong bench and the pie had been meant for him. Before they can leave, Joyce shows up and demands to see the note. Stephanie refuses, but Joyce will not.....
