Chapter 3 Summary

The target becomes angry with Stephanie and grabs her. Stephanie pulls the first lethal thing she can find out of her bag and sprays the man. It turns out to be hairspray. In the middle of the chaos, the target's parents come over to see what is happening. When they learn that their son missed his court date, they insist that he give himself up and go with Ranger. Early the next morning, Sally calls to let Stephanie know he has solved the code in the latest note. While they talk, Stephanie can hear Sally's roommate yelling at him to come to breakfast. Sally says that his roommate, Sugar, likes to cook and take care of him, almost like a wife.

Stephanie stops at the bond offices in order to check in. Stephanie asks.....
