Part Five: Four Blind Mice: Chapters 100 - 107 Summary

Jamilla calls every day. Dr. Coles shows up and Alex invites her to breakfast, but her real agenda is to ensure that Nana is okay for the procedure the following day. Nana makes jokes, and later asks Alex to take her for a drive. She doesn't seem to want to talk about the procedure, though it is obviously on her mind. Alex worries, but keeps a brave front so the kids aren't worried. It seems to take a long time, but finally Kayla comes out and tells them Nana is fine. They visit, Alex drops the kids at school and then deals with Ron Burns for information. In return, he has to work a case involving sex offenders. He looks through the army records, but finds nothing documented that would act...
