Part 4, Chapter 19 Summary

Roger Enright takes over the Cortlandt project and has Roark build the originally planned housing. He opens it to all people, whether they can afford more expensive housing or not. Wynand's divorce goes through, and Toohey is ordered rehired at The Banner by a court. Wynand calls him in to work at nine at night, and when Toohey arrives at 8:50 p.m., Wynand hovers over him. After ten uncomfortable minutes, the presses jerk to a halt. Wynand has bought all interest in The Banner and has shut it down, as of 9:00 p.m. exactly. "You're out of a job, Mr. Toohey," Wynand says. Toohey moves to the Courier and begins again, gathering intelligence about its owner.

Wynand calls Roark to his office. The interview is formal.....
