Part 4, Chapter 13 Summary

Dominique is in the hospital for several days before returning to Wynand's penthouse. Wynand realizes that Dominique conspired with Roark, and he approves. Roark has given himself up to the police and is out on bail. Wynand seems to realize the bond between Dominique and Roark, saying that he will kill them both if they become lovers before he leaves them alone.

After the explosion, Roark remained with his detonator and turned himself in to the police who arrived. Roark again refuses a lawyer. He tells Dominique that if he is convicted, she will be forced to remain with Wynand. Dominique says that if she must be without Roark, it will only hurt down to a certain point, mimicking him and Wynand.

There is a public outcry against Roark's egotism, which has destroyed.....
