Part 4, Chapter 9 Summary

After a month of living in Roark's house, Wynand comments that it is perfect, just as he'd imagined. Wynand invites Roark to stay the night, and to Dominique's horror, he accepts.

Toohey sees the plans for Cortlandt Homes, which are so efficient that they can be rented out for ten dollars. Toohey says that Peter is a genius. Wynand sees the plans, and he realizes they're Roark's design. Roark denies it, and when Wynand says he will run an exposy, Roark says he will file a lawsuit. Dominique agrees with her husband that the plans clearly must be Roark's.

Wynand is unconcerned about We Don't Read Wynand, but he has seen a socialist bias in his newspaper. He actively promotes Roark, though Heller and Roark agree that this publicity is hurting Roark. Wynand.....
