Part 3, Chapter 5 Summary

When Dominique returns early, Peter is concerned about his commission. He sees Wynand, who tells Peter that he is marrying Dominique. He gives Peter the commission for Stoneridge Homes. Peter goes out drinking with his fellow workers.

Mallory tells Dominique that Roark is working on a building in Ohio. She says that she is going to Reno, but she doesn't say why. She does say that he won't like what she does when she returns. The next morning, she leaves to marry Wynand. Peter visits Toohey and gives him $10,000. He wants Toohey to tell him again that he is unimportant and should only live for others. He tells Toohey about Dominique and Wynand. Toohey says it doesn't matter and then tells the editor Alvah Scarret about the wedding. Both are concerned.....
