Alpha - The Music Festival Summary

Trevize and Pelorat eat lunch in a large dining hall. Bliss and Fallom eat in another room somewhat removed so that Fallom is at least slightly removed from the crowds. The food is plentiful and Pelorat wonders how it is that they don't get fat. Trevize suggests it's because they work hard.

Once the four are again together, Pelorat tells of his conversation with the elderly man, Monolee, who insisted the Earth was radioactive and the search useless. As always, Trevize says he won't give up the quest. Pelorat tells the story he got from Monolee. Eart was home to millions of plants and animal species. Space travel was invented and Spacer worlds settled. Once those worlds developed their own cultures, they came to despise Earth. After Earthmen regained control.....
