Melpomenia - Moss Summary

The first building Pelorat and Trevize encounter as they exit the Far Star is a bank. As Pelorat explains the concept of a bank, Trevize is not inspired by the ancient history. They next find a large building called "Hall of the Worlds." They find a very large statue and three columns with a list of fifty planets. Each has three numbers - coordinates of their locations. Pelorat immediately makes the connection between the fifty names and the fact that legend says there were fifty Spacer worlds.

Trevize photographs the columns in order to study the names in more detail aboard the Far Star. In order to get a better angle, Trevize climbs up on a large statue in the middle of the building. The statue is missing an arm and Trevize.....
