Melpomenia - Dead Planet Summary

As Trevize nears the next planet, he discovers several astronomical features that indicate there might not be a habitable planet in the region. As he travels through space in search of the next planet, Fallom thanks him for allowing it be on the trip. Trevize commends Fallom for memorizing the message, but Bliss says Fallom is picking up the language quickly. Trevize admits the hermaphrodite prompts a "grisly" feeling. Bliss points out that a Solarian would think the same of a human with the sex organs of only one gender. Trevize then says that he's annoyed because he doesn't know whether to refer to Fallom as "he" or "she." Bliss suggests that it's because the human language doesn't have a pronoun for a person of both genders and suggest they refer.....
