Solaria - To the Surface Summary

Trevize, Bliss and Pelorat are initially in shock. Bander admits that it's indulged itself by allowing them to stay so long. He argues that there mere presence was an offense and that they'll be put to death. When Bander raises its hand, the room falls dark. As Trevize and Pelorat recover consciousness, they fear they're dead. Trevize knows Bander must be dead because it was the Solarian who powered the entire estate. The darkness indicates Bander's death. Bliss says she was only successful in overpowering Bander because it didn't know of her own powers. Bliss then says that she hadn't intended to kill it, but stopped the power going from Bander for a few seconds, resulting in almost immediate death from an overload. Bliss discovers that she can produce enough.....
